I actually thought that when the acromantulas made it to the castle 
and Hagrid yelled, "No, don't hurt 'em"..that he was actually 
telling the spiders not to hurt the students.. rather than Hagrid 
yelling at folks not to hurt the spiders. 

LOL

as if JKR hadn't pounded us over our heads with Hagrid's love of 
dangerous creatures in ALL the books.

I still blush and giggle at my mistake each time I read about the 
acromantulas carrying Hagrid off..
