Sorting and House System / Sorting "too soon"

I have always been of the opinion that kids going to Hogwarts should have to switch houses, and therefore, experience all four of them.  Maybe the first four years? Then during the owl year, they then can choose the house that they prefer. They would be older and have experienced each house so could truly make an intelligent choice.
