Pam:
Something unusual really resonated with me. I am the eldest of three children, and when we were young, I was always "the bright one," and "the talented one," etc. But our parents often left us alone at night when I was a preteen and teenager, and I had to take care of my two younger siblings nightly. I often had to miss out on chances to excel, at chances to perform, because I was the one who had to be responsible for my siblings. I really identified with Dumbledore there. You can't really resent your siblings; it's not their fault, and yet... there is resentment. The younger siblings were well aware of what I was missing on account of them, and they felt partly guilty, but partially they were really gleeful that I was being kept from getting attention and glory I would have gotten more of if not for them. Until I read JKR's story of the Dumbledores, I thought I was the only one who had ever experienced or even thought of something like that. A
 strange thing to identify with?
