Voldemort - 2 bodies?

When Voldemort's soul is ripped from his body in Godric's Hollow, was 
a body left there? He certainly doesn't have a body when Wormtail 
finds him later - Wormtail had to help him create one. And he only 
created his man-sized body at the end of Book 4.

Then, he dies again at the end of Book 7. Did Voldemort somehow have 2 
physical bodies, or was his body blasted away somehow when he tried to 
kill Harry the first time?
