Sure. Easy one for me, as I doubt anyone will be surprised to learn: 
Severus Snape. 

I always enjoyed his forbidding, sarcastic persona as a demanding and 
harsh teacher. And when we started getting hints of a dark past and 
involvement in spying...sigh. Definitely a character I could not get 
enough of, with a compelling mystery about him which ended in, to me, a 
a satisfying resolution in Book 7.

Honorable mention goes to Hermione Granger. Nerdy, insecure, and most 
loyal friend of Harry, with a touching,m if not always well-directed, 
concern for the underdog. I always found her sympathetic, even when she 
wasn't being all that nice (attacking Ron in HBP, e. g.).
