Yes, this is a very good point. I was puzzled by that myself. I 
disagree with the construction you put on the "never killed if it could 
be avoided", but I, too, don't see how Harry could know anything more 
about Dumbledore's past, than we do. And whatever the truth about 
Morfin and Hokey, I don't believe Harry spared them a thought either.
