  I am very much afraid our Severus is toast, whichever side he may be 
on. And I am far from certain Harry won't be responsible for his death -
 which will be a heck of a thing for him to live with if Snape turns 
out to be a good guy, (as I believe he will).

  Severus' one sterling virtue is his extraordinary courage. For sheer, 
cold nerve he is without match in the Wizarding world - except for 
Harry. It's the one trait they have in common.
