JK is the only one who can confirm this but,

I believe that our dear sweet Petunia is a squib and the angst against
her sister is centered around this. That and the fact that she was
killed by LV has made her very fearful of the WW.

Just a thought.

Its really a shame that JK is going to end all this in Book 7.  Like
to see more.
