But Harry wasn't writing an essay, he wasn't writing anything, he was
simply told to make various potions and he did so. Obviously Slughorn
knew Harry must be doing something that the other students were not,
but he never asked where he got the knowledge and Harry didn't
volunteer the information. I wouldn't have either, and despite the
noises of moral outrage I tend to hear around here I don't believe I'm
radically different from most people in that respect.
