There is no reason to assume that LV is going "Blood for Blood" in his quest
to destroy Harry. Blood taken from Harry at the gravesite during GoF has
nothing to do with Horcruxes as far as we know at this time. And further
more, it has nothing to do with the Diary.
However, I was speculating that if a Diary (any diary, for that matter...
and, I know, I wasn't being specific) had a substance that gave it life
(other than just a soul in it, like Tom Riddle's) then ink would be the
blood/life-force.
Also, I would never assume that someone's post will ever *fully and
completely* clarify something for me unless it was JKR herself. But thanks
for the Heads up on your earlier post. I'll look it up.
