Magpie:
I think there would be a big difference between thinking Dumbledore was
killed by a snake he'd taken to his bosom by mistake and Dumbledore dying
for...well, for some other reason. We can't know until we find out why he
was killed. But if he and Snape both loved Dumbledore and are both broken up
over his death, and have even had similar experiences with Dumbledore
getting them to do something like feed him poison or kill him, that's a big
thing they can connect over.
