JKR said that the Death Eaters are like how the Nazis were. The Nazis
believed in the superiority of an Aryan master race, and through
Hitler exterminated everyone that was not one of their own.
The Death Eaters harbour a genocidal hatred of humans without magic.
The Nazis killed off whole families, not just their parents.
I'm pretty sure the DEs are doing the same.
