I believe mugglenet.com sorted that out.  What Hermy
did to her parents was not the same as the memory
charm "Obliviate".  It would seem to be a much
trickier working as she would have to give her parents
fake memories (new names and all), and not just make
them forget something. It's like the difference
between being in the witness protection and having
amnesia.

bamf, who is going to go hide her keyboard now and not
post until tomorrow...
