The best misunderstanding so far (spoilers)

I forgot that earlier in the book, Hermione told Harry that 
remorse could fix a broken soul/horcrux situation.

So when Harry asked Voldemort if he had remorse, I thought the 
wrong thing.

I thought he was trying to spare voldemort from dying and 
spending all eternity as a scared, crumpled up little boy, 
cringing in fear.

Maybe he meant that as well.

Some nargle on beliefnet said that Harry Potter was not like 
Jesus.

I thought of that when harry slowly and deliberately took off 
his cloak, to die that so many might live.
