A Sirius Problem

I didn't really have a problem with this.  I have things in storage 
now from when I was in high school (I'm 41).  Sirius could have been 
trying to get all the things that were precious to him (like the 
letter) after the XMas incident in OotP... especially if they 
related to Harry.  Remember, Harry had not been back to GP since 
that XMas incident.
