I felt certain of this when I read "HE'S ALIVE!".  It 
would explain the absence of a real moral struggle.  
Harry was the Chosen One all along.  

I cannot address whether or not she was successful in 
developing this theme since I am not a Christian.  It 
does explain the choices she made.  I, too, was 
disappointed, but I can't say it was wholly unexpected.
