I felt the nomadic nature of their quest was perfectly captured by
having to be on the move constantly, the psychological pressure that
comes with being on the run, and not having any sort of plan. I could
feel all the frustration for all the characters in that tent!

Bottom line, it is JKR's story - I found nothing to be disappointed
in.
