Anne Squires now:

Dean's wand was "relieved" by the Snatchers.  I am, of course, purely
speculating here; but, I think Colin (and Dennis) were on the run much
like Dean was.  Or hiding out somewhere a la Anne Frank.  I think
Colin had his wand with him when he came to Hogwarts to fight.  OTOH,
it's also possible that when one of the defenders fell, he picked up
their wand before a DE could grab hold of it.  In the chaos of battle
it seems anything could happen.  However, I feel that Colin was
fighting with his own wand.  In any event, it makes absolutely no
sense that he was unarmed.  All of this is just conjecture on my part,
obviously.
