snape and lily BEFORE DH

I was completely surprised when I read about the long friendship
between Snape and Lily in Book 7, but many friends (and, it seems,
many people on this list) were not particularly surprised.  

The only scene I can remember before DH that hints at this
relationship is Snape's "worst memory" in HBP.  Are there other hints
of the snape/lily friendship in the first 6 books?
