I *certainly* can see the point about Voldemort's wanting to kill 
Harry himself because of narcissism and power issues.

I just thought there would be something else.


Lisa pointed out about the other part of the prophecy:
 "For either must die at the hand of the other ... "

The only problem with that being the solution is that Snape didn't 
know it, because he got thrown from the building before he heard that 
part.  And therefore neither did Voldemort.

And so we're back to square one.

Any further ideas?
