But Lupin staying on at Hogwarts in a different capacity was never even on
the table as far as we know. DD knew that the position was cursed, knew that
it was Lupin he wanted for that year and probably never had any intention of
asking him to teach another subject. Work alongside DD yes. Be an instructor
at Hogwarts in another post after teaching DADA no. At least not
consecutively.
