Bart:
	10 people were imprisoned, not for suspected Communist activities, but 
for refusal to testify before an investigative committee. At this time, 
the Soviet Union was in direct control of the American Communist Party, 
and was using it for espionage activity against the United States (at 
least according to their own documents). Most of those blacklisted also 
refused to cooperate with investigators.
