Charles:
I haven't been around here for awhile, so I don't know if the idea has
been considered before, but I find that notion unlikely. If the potion
was the horcrux, then it would have been RAB that became a horcrux,
not DD. If DD was indeed begging Snape to kill him, it was to keep
Draco from doing it, and no other reason, IMO.
Charles, who thinks that DD's portrait has got a lot of 'splainin' to do.
