I don't know whether this has been addressed by now, I'm obviously very
behind in my reading (as usual), but I thought I'd point out that Myrtle
*chose* not to rest in peace. She is not a miserable ghost because she
was murdered. She was *determined* not to go on because she wanted to
haunt a girl who made fun of her...Olive Hornby, I think it was.
