5) You can't create food, but you can transmute it. Grubs, worms, and 
insects are highly nutritious; just turn them into something tastier. 
Acorns, seeds, etc. could be stored in Hermione's dimensionally 
transcendental purse.

I'm certain that there are a couple of dozen more, or flaws with what 
I came up with...

The easiest thing for the food is to use magic to make them be 
something tastier that wouldn't sacrifice the nutitional value of it.

Harry & Hermione can blend in with the Muggles easily, so just a 
simple Muggle wardrobe makeover is needed for them.  Ron woudld need 
to dye the hair without magic & Muggle wardrobe for him.  Also, 
before you send the trio off to the Muggle world, make sure they 
don't use magic or do anything to give away they're not Muggles.  
Beyond all that, they're pretty much set to blend in with the Muggle 
world right off the bat.
