I've spoken at length on the Nature of Dark Magic in
the past, and nothing has happened in the books since
that time to have changed my mind.

For those interested in a summary of my views, check

This thread contains a link to my short essay on the
matter, which can also be found here.

In short, there is a distinction between 'dark magic'
which simply implies used for a bad purpose, and 'Dark
Magic' which has an inherently evil aspect independent
of its use.

I speculate that true Dark Magic has something
inherently destructive in its creation process, and
by extension that intent, purpose, and result don't
matter with regard to its classification as truly
Dark Magic.
