Jen:  There's no offering of any freedoms to Dementors that can be 
offered to other groups like the giants or werewolves in order to 
work out an alliance.  There's nothing ethical you can offer the 
Dementors.  They want humans to prey on, period.

Jen:  I suppose the signal to me is that they degrade the soul and 
that's a huge part of the story.  I'm not exactly sure what else you 
mean here?  Or maybe there's nothing more I can add since we see the 
WW in a different way.
