You are right, we don't know. But, as interested in knowing
everything as Hermione is, it seems odd to me that her parents
would choose to NOT know something. Hermione is in the
house that is known for courage, too. While courage may not
be hereditary, certain personality characteristics do seem to
be. With courageous and interested parents, I just can't imagine
that they would CHOOSE to change their lives so drastically by
moving to Australia and not knowing that they had a daughter.
