JP, Voldemort and Snape weren't mudbloods, which isn't a very nice 
word even if it were accurate; they were half-bloods. Each has a 
witch for a mother and a Muggle for a father. A "m*dbl**d" is a 
witch/wizard both of whose parents are Muggles. Muggleborn is the 
polite word. I've seen some fans use the term 'magesport', which 
I like, but JKR never uses it.
