Is there any canon about why the Potters were placed in hiding? What 
I mean is, why did James and Lily go into hiding? As I understand DD, 
he didn't tell them about the prophecy. And Lily begged LV to kill 
her, not Harry. It doesn't sound as if she knows Harry is the Chosen 
One. So I think the Potters thought they had been targetted by LV and 
went into hiding. Had they known that Harry was the target, I think 
they might have done things differently.
