Tom Riddle's inability to love

Wikipedia when researching something, but perhaps I need to look up

I took your advice and I have looked at wikipedia and it
does not reference anywhere how inability to love is connected
in any way to being a psychopath, so this does makes me even a 
little more confused by your response, perhaps you're saying this is 
what Tom Riddle is, but the original purpose of the discussion is 
not to describe current state of Tom Riddle, but try and explain 
what got him to that state.

After all, we use stories to help us understand our own emotions, 
why we feel the way we do, what got us to feel these emotions, and 
how we plan to deal with them.  

I seriously doubt if JKR wrote 'Harry Potter and the Psychopath', 
should wouldn't have done very well....
