I think you are right.
To expand, if Dumbledore with his Olivander wand dueled against
himself with the Elder wand, then Elder wand would win.
Also, if DD used his Olivander wand to cast some spell and then used
the Elder wand to cast the same spell, then the Elder wand would out
perform (beat/defeat) the Olivander wand.
The Elder wand repaired Harry's wand, when perhaps no wand in the
world could do. It is unbeatable.
