In HBP why does DD plead with Snape when he is about to kill him?.

I thought from reading DH that this had been planned between them.

Am I perhaps correct in thinking that he was pleading with Snape to get
on with it and not to spoil their plan by letting someone else do it

That was definitely my take on it.  DD was pleading with Snape to get on with it, perhaps afraid that he might chicken out at the last minute. DD was pleading for Snape to kill him, both because he was going to die anyway and they had made an arrangement for him to do so, but also I think to save Draco from the wrath of the Dark Lord--since he couldn't do it himself.
