I am happy Steve amended his original proposal to 'concept phase'
rather than actual rewriting. Publishing and profit have nothing to do
with whether something is copyright infringement.
> I don't think any of us need to fear a lawsuit.
As the idea has been amended, I agree. However, Yahoo has been quite
skittish about copyright infringement, when a copyright holder
complains; or so it was when a knitting yahoo group was shut down by a
knitting designer's complaint some years ago. JKR seems unlikely to
complain about fan fiction or the like here, but who knows? If I were
her, and I were here, reading some of the comments over the past couple
of months, I probably wouldn't feel a great deal of warmth and caring
for this group, with a few exceptions.
So let the rewrite summaries flow. Other than my ongoing desire to have
Neville and Luna married and present during the epilogue, I can't think
of anything at the moment.
No, wait, let's have Seamus and Dean Finnigan-Thomas together in the
epilogue also, putting their adopted witch onto the Hogwarts Express.
