I agree Tonks didn't get a chance to shine as a warrior mom.
I think JKR didn't want anything to take away from Molly's big moment.
But JKR herself is the most successful working mom in history. If
her life was fiction, who'd believe it?
I think JKR honestly feels that combining a brilliant career with
motherhood would be asking a lot of most people -- especially since
most people aren't going to have brilliant careers anyway. But she
shows men as well as women struggling to balance the needs of
a dependent family with life outside the home.
