I agree with Steve. The books become part of a wonderful shared
experience into a fascinating imaginative world.

Forgive me if I'm not following protocol--I'm a first timer--but I'd
like to comment on why Dobby's death is so affecting. Perhaps it's
because of Harry's reaction to it and the graveside scene, where Luna
gives such a touching and fitting eulogy. And Harry refusal to use
magic to dig Dobby's grave adds another layer of pathos to the
moment. Besides, Dobby's death exemplifies the novel's theme of
choice and foreshadows Harry's ultimate moment of bravery and
sacrifice.
