Yes, I also thought that Ginny just didn't find anything bad to say 
about Snape herself, so she brought Bill into it :-). I bet Snape was 
not that horrible to Ginny. Slughorn had a soft spot for her because 
she reminded him of Lily - could be the same story with Snape :-).
