Magpie:
I think you can gloat even more. Petunia said "that awful boy" told 
Lily about Dementors. Had she said "greasy-haired boy" it would 
obviously have been Snape (James have greasy hair? Never!). 
But "awful boy" could have applied to James or Snape in Petunia's 
eyes.
