Well, I can't speak for Witherwings, but I know why _I_ skip Spinner's
End.  It is simply too painful to read, and I mean physically  
painful.  I
would actually get physical symptoms when reading it.  Now that I
see its place in the rest of the tale, I CAN read it, but just barely.
