I thought that Mandrakes could cry only when they are out of the 
pot/soil. That's the impression that I got from that Sprout lesson in 
CoS :-).

It's "fieNd", not "fied", iirc (no book at the moment :-)). Not sure, 
but maybe it's something like "demon-fire"???
