This is simply not true. Harry believes he knows this, as do Draco, 
Greyback, the Carrows, and Yaxley, but the press coverage of this as 
shown in the books is misleading, and therefore the wizard on the 
street (or the Slytherin in the Great Hall) does not know this. The 
Thicknesse administration does not make Snape Headmaster because he 
killed Dumbledore. On the contrary, they deny he did so.
