Potioncat:
This chess match did generate a lot of threads in its time! I agree 
with all of above, snipped and unsnipped.

But the motif of sacrifice reminded me, Ron thought he would die when 
the Queen destroyed the knight. Harry protested, but Ron insistend that 
Harry had to be the one to go on.
