Heather:
I really don't see this as him comparing them as much as compairing one action they both do. Lucius and Snape both offer to go get Harry for LV and that is where the similarities really end. They both have their own reasons, and neither one is to really please the dark lord. Snape wants to get away from LV and possible pain and death and go help Harry. Lucius could care less if he found Harry. and I seriously think that he wouldn't have even bothered to look for Harry. He just wanted in the castle to look for his son.
