I hadn't thought of KFC or Jack-in-the-Box or the other deep fried chicken
restaurants when I first read that passage, but now it's even funnier to me.
Thanks for that. Self cooking chicken! Just at the age that the chicken is
perfect to eat, it develops the habit of roasting itself. LOL

My daughter automatically thought of a magical protection for the box- a
spell put on it, once they realized that the animal was going to destroy the
container, so that they could carry the animal without the destruction of
the box. It makes sense to me that aurors and other peacekeepers would need
to know a whole host of handy spells for just such an occasion, to be able
to "bring in" dangerous items without they themselves getting burnt or
injured- cursed items, fiery items, items with acid or other dangers. They
would need to modify a container (or summon one) that could handle the item
in question for safe transport. So, I would just assume that one of them had
cast a spell to make the box fireproof before adding the chicken.
