What about Tonks' mother? A Black by birth, and every Black save Sirius was
in Syltherin. She married a muggle born wizard, raised Tonks to be what she
was, allowed her house to be used as a safe house for Harry in the Seven
Potters. She wasn't fighting in the final battle, but someone had to be
taking care of Teddie as both his parents were at the battle. She lost
husband and daughter, yet stayed on good enough terms with Harry and such
that her grandson who she raised was friendly with them.
I wish we had seen and heard more about her, but the evidence points
strongly to her being a Syltherin and she was fighting against Voldemort, if
not in person, certainly indirectly, but importantly.
