Okay, fair enough re: not all the memories being negative.  I still 
think it was her laughing at him a bit, though.  More on that below.

I agree.  Especially if you suspect the person isn't in any *real* 
danger or a dire situation.  Heck, just this past Saturday, I could 
*not* control my laughter when a girl called my 10-year-old son, to 
see if he could go to the movies with her.  HE was adamant that this 
was not a DATE, but my daughter & I just couldn't avoid laughing at 
him, even though we knew it would set my son off if he realized we 
were muffling it.
