JKR mentioned this in her interview with Meredith Vieira(sp?) in 2007,
only in MSNBC's transcript it was "Only those who he loved could see
the lightning scar" :-). I didn't hear the interview, so I don't know
if the transcript is correct. Here is the link (hope it works :-)) to
