With the exception of Elphias Doge and Hagrid, I can't think of any
Gryffindors who thought that Dumbledore was always right. And they're
made to seem foolish for it.

JKR is certainly no pacifist, but surely you're not implying that all
militants are fascist?

Hermione and Ron did not die for the cause even momentarily, yet they
are Gryffindors along with Harry. And I definitely don't see anywhere
that death itself is glorified, though the willingness to die to
protect those weaker than yourself certainly is. But that's the
opposite of fascism, in which the weak are supposed to die so that the
strong will not be contaminated.

Gryffindor has its fascist moment when McGonagall turns the Slytherins
out, but by the end she's fighting side by side with Slughorn, who
came back to aid her, so that was reversed.
