A very useful disguise, actually. I am quite sure that he is Scorpius 
because he was born under this sign, yet Draco wouldn't choose the name 
if it wasn't a dangerous creature. I mean, he himself is a dragon (at 
least, that's how his family would like to see him, I suppose). So he 
named his son after another dangerous and sinister creature. Thus 
combining Black family tradition with his own.
