Darn. I accidentally deleted the first part of this response. I think I 
just said also that I agree that Expelliarimus isn't a passive spell, 
but that we've all just picked up the term because we know what we mean 
by it. There's nothing passive about knocking someone's wand away. It's 
only passive in that it's not actually dealing with the person who's 
still standing there.
